With Frazier and stepbrother Adonis Frazier guiding his career, James made quick work of most his early opponents. James took his nickname “Shango” from his grandfather Aldric Peter Nelson, who founded the popular Minneapolis-based world-beat band Shangoya in the early ’70s.
